“For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:3
One of the craziest passages of scripture for me, and scripture is generally crazy as a rule.
What does that mean?
Your all true life, your very life, is hidden.
How can we have any aspirations to an immanent life (“earthly things” in the preceding verse) if our life is hidden?
How does this not push us in a gnostic direction; all that is not hidden (in Christ) is in some sense not life?
My life is hidden. I have no idea what that means.
